How keyword automation works

A keyword is simply the word that tells Shre to send a DM. You set it per post, someone types it in a comment or story reply, and Shre sends the DM you wrote, on the official Instagram Graph API. Here is what happens under the hood and how to set it up well.

Matching

Shre reads new comments on the posts you have set up and looks for your keyword. Matching is designed to be forgiving of case and small differences, so LINK, link, and Link all work. Keep keywords to a single clear word so matches are clean and people find it easy to type.

Multiple keywords

You can attach more than one keyword to a post. This is useful for catching common typos, or for offering a couple of paths, for example GUIDE and CHECKLIST, each sending a different DM. Give each keyword a clear purpose so replies stay predictable.

Per post setup

Automations are set on individual posts and Reels, not globally. That means the same account can run a giveaway on one post and a product drop on another at the same time, with no conflict. Set up a new automation whenever you publish something with an offer. See comment to DM.

Edge cases

If a comment does not contain the keyword, nothing is sent, so ordinary conversation is left alone. If a burst of people comment at once, Shre paces the sending so it stays natural and within limits. Say the keyword clearly in your caption so people know exactly what to type, and test from another account before going live.
